Twitter: MicroBlogging Wonder Tool or Irritating Distraction
By Mark on Jan 16, 2008 in Blogging
I was reading my Twitter tweets recently when I saw this message:
It made me laugh not only because I know the person who twittered this but because i know his boss.
And so began an all day trend.
Shortly thereafter I saw this complaint from Tim Bray to Scoble:

Then Cote posted about Twitter etiquette and link whoring.
Hey, I link-whore in (on?) Twitter all the time. That’s part of the point. But, it’s at least good to put a title in your link whores and try to space it out rather than carpet bombing it. I put up with the carpet bombing from news update feeds like Google News and ZDNet - but I’d rather they spaced them out.
And then the Real Paul Jones added:
Is Twitter starting to equally irritate and fascinate us? Will Twitter continue to gain popularity or fail due to users total noun/verb confusion.
"I twittered twice about the twinkling twins as I read tweets in Twitterrific."
