By Mark on Mar 14, 2008 in LinuxToday, LinuxWorld, Open Source
Mark Radcliffe mentioned on his blog yesterday that the Affero GPL has been approved by the Open Source Initiative (OSI).
The Affero General Public License ("AGPL") has been approved by theOSI. The AGPL is an important option for companies whose software canbe used to provide a service. It includes a "network use" provisionwhich requires that the source code be made available to "users" of theservice.
Doug at BlackDuck has a list of companies and projects already using the AGPL and speculates now that the license has OSI approval there will me more.
