Updates to the Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act of 2003 (CAN-SPAM) becomes effective today.
They four main provisions of the CAN-SPAM Act for commercial emailers are:
Bans false or misleading header information
Prohibits Deceptive Subject Lines
Requires an opt-out method
Requires Commercial Email to be Identified as an Advertisement an must include the senders valid [...]
